Get The Marlpit Pub Opened Again |

A committee and legal entity has been formed called the “Marlpit Community Pub” the with officers being elected. This will enable us to seek grant funding to finance our campaign to get the pub open again.
We made the local authority list the Pub on the register of ‘assets of community value’. This mean the site can’t be re-developed as anything else for at least six months. However, the Pub can still be sold as long as the usage will be within the existing planning consent and this would have to be a pub and or restaurant.
The committee meets at least once a month and so does the social group of Marlpit Community Pub Supporters. We normally hold a music or karaoke night at a nearby venue towards the end of each month.
